The Middle picture is of Me, and both James' at our school's 10 year class reunion, my sister took the pictures.  The other two pictures are of my brother Pastor Norman.

Hey Vicky,  The Sims/ Parhams were all started in Arkansas , then went to Monroe and Shreveport, Louisiana and my Parhams wound up in Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas.

My brother did a Family Tree DNA, Certificate -- Y - DNA.  I can't seem to figure it out, all that stuff about 67 markers and there wasn't one single mention of African American, African, Negro blood or anything like that.  The highest markers were for England, German, Scotland and there is a lot of UNKNOWN ORIGINs.  Now you see how dumb I am.  Anyway.

Anyway I won't bore you with all this.  I've been working with a group called Search Squad.  They are a group of volunteers that help and guide people with their search for free.  We have been working on the other side of my family.  They have been a lot of help and are still working with me on another project.

What are the names of some of your Sims?  I don't know too many Names but my Great Grandmother, Mary J Sims was my special pen pal my whole teen age years.  We were only in DeRidder, Louisiana where she lived 3 times, but I loved her and she loved me.  I hope we can find a connection and can be helpful for each other.

About me right now I am getting ready for my annual Christmas trip to see my son, his wife and my grandkids.  I usually go to Colorado twice a year and they come here 3 or 4 times a year.  My daughter lives here in California, she has no children but she is engaged, not sure anything is really going to happen.  My husband Frank and I are both 69 years old and retired.  He likes to cook and is good at it and I like to be on the go doing things and I'm good at it.

I have cousins all over Texas, in Houston and in Austin.

I was working on saying good bye a few paragraphs ago.  Stay in touch

Hi Barbara

thanks for the contact.

Any idea where your Sims/Parhams were located? I have Sims/Simms in Fayette and Grimes County Texas. Do you happen to have a tree somewhere?

I took an autosomal DNA test to help me with my genealogy and matched a Sims whose great grandfather left the area when he was only 15. Through research we found out that his ggg-grandfather and my gg- grandfather were brothers.

mabe we can make a connect.
