MURPH Family SC GA FL

Assisted the MURPHS to pull together some not so conclusive docs for their 2011 reunion in Hillsborough, Florida. Found two famous people of news in the findings. Will report more here later. This family uses nicknames  and repeat names to the max Shack is probably Shadrack but what is a likely real name for Pig and Cooter. Could either be the elusive, to me, William? Are their any "tracking tips" we can pull from pull from these roots? Share your thoughts in "The Tree House"

The researcher was a member of the genealogy group I helped with in my Legacy retirement community. Interestingly family insisted [thought] their roots were SC and they well may be in the final analysis. I found the family from 1870-1930 first in Crisp County, Cordele GA and later in 1930 Hillsborough West Palm Beach Florida. The wall needing tumbling is how to connect the 1905 born George [married to Mary L Dickey] to the 1820 George. Family says the father of 1905 George is William. I cannot figure the connect if there is one. Could William be Bill or ???
