Keisha, wondering if we might take each of these individually and do a joint exploration for each . We might also develop a set of potential resources to explore in relation to the specifics of the individual brickwall. What say you? Then we might ask the AfriGeneas experts to help us determine what additional resources to explore.
Searching for first name Philtia from 1860 through 1930 all states using Heritage Quest,

Phlitia McWilliams is the 1900 census I sent to your email.
Will try other spellings for first name.
If Philitia was using McWilliams as an alias, could she have used other names? Are we certain that she didn't marry in the 1890's? we have no records of those 20 years after 1880 to 1900. Her daughter and father were born in GA; with Cornelia being married to Grant, do you think that he still could have been the father of her child?
Will send notes written by Agnes and Mary. They are the daughters of Clinton and Mattie Garrett Bell. It was good to speak with you. I have raised these questions with Demeter Kendall Bass granddaughter of Leona Bell Jackson and Margaret Smith Dudley, daughter of Amy Bell Smith. I have asked Jocelyn Bell, great granddaughter to Mattie and Clinton to interview "Aunt Lil Baby" to see what she might be able to learn
Thank you; as you can see, this is definitely something where records are a good resource, but still leave so many questions to be answered.
All we know for certain is that Philitia/Felicia was a member of the Richard Bell household. Will need to scour the newspapers and to talk with Louise Wilson. Louise is the great grand daughter of Rufus Bell, brother to Philitia. Also grandfather Richard Bell died in 1894 and there is probably a public notice of some sort. Richard died on the courthouse steps when the courthouse was in Jacksonville.
I decided to go back and look at the life spans of Philitia's siblings and reviewed your notes on http://www.kingbarnes.com/forum/index.cgi/md/read/id/1158. There I found that Caroline might be deceased, the date and cause unknown. I then went back to the last known census for Philitia, noticed that it lists her as divorced. Furthermore, I read all the lines whether the people in the household could read, occupation and relationship to the head (Julia). That is where I saw that Lilla is the adopted daughter whose parents are from Alabama while the others have parents from Georgia or South Carolina.
I am further disturbed that the 1900 the last census for Derggy; wondering if he had the same fate at Philitia...
Julia is the mother of 12 children, 11 living in 1900, in 1910 she is the mother of 12 children, 10 living. Derggy or Philitia could be one of the deceased, I have no concluding that yet.

Julia gave birth to twelve children but was the mother of 14. I have the adoption papers for one. Derggy or Robert Dergon is said to have gone to Hawaii. Much intrigue in the history of this BELL-HENDRIX family
Are there any family obituaries that we can look to see who preceded in death or who was left to cherish memories? I have a list below I am trying to correct and update.
